A legislation amendment was just published on last week.
If you apply for the Skilled Independent 189 visa on or after 1 July 2017, the maximum age you can be is 44 at the time of application of the visa.
However, if the “Invitation to Apply” is received before the 1 July 2017 and you make the application to the visa after the date, you will NOT be affected by the change.
